"This case causes problems when it rains and puddles occur, because the pumps in the underpass are not working. We have reported this problem to the authorities," he explained.
He added the Jakarta Government had made repairs at the location where the cable was cut, while also ensuring that the pump was functioning normally.
"We don't want the underpass to be flooded, because not only will there be congestion but other aspects could occur simultaneously," he added.
He also urged Jakarta residents and related regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to jointly monitor and maintain pump houses, so that this problem does not happen again.
"The City Secretary will hold a meeting to mitigate and take steps so that this does not happen again. At least, we can anticipate," he added.
As for the information, at the location, Acting Governor Teguh was accompanied by City Secretary, Marullah Matali; Development Assistant, Afan Afandi and Public Works Agency Head, Heru Suwondo; and several other related officials.
